OUR HISTORY
The story of Bellas began in 2018 when Jeannette-Renée Mang was on one of her wedding location trips through Italy looking for the perfect flat shoes that she needed for long days in her job as a wedding planner.
She then found what she was looking for in the heart of Tuscany, and that is where most Bellas are still produced.
As a wedding and event manager, she needed comfortable and stylish shoes that would perfectly fit into her demanding work routine. However, she was missing the perfect combination of elegance, comfort , and value for money – until she found what she was looking for in a small village in Tuscany .
In this region, known as the leather center of Italy , we work with a family-run manufacturer that has been processing high-quality suede for our loafers and ballerinas since 1997 .
The design comes from Vienna, where we continually develop new models, colors and cuts in close collaboration with Italian craftsmen.
In recent years, many manufacturers and new models have been added. Bellas are now produced in over 20 different factories in Italy, Spain, and Portugal.
FOUNDATION
2018
Bellas was founded in 2018 by Jeannette-Renée Mang and quickly established itself as a successful brand for high-quality women's shoes.
What began as a personal search for comfortable, stylish shoes developed into a brand that combines Italian craftsmanship with modern Viennese design.
BATHE
2019
Since its founding, Bellas has continuously evolved and impresses with a collection that combines elegance, comfort and Italian craftsmanship.
In October 2019, the showroom in Baden was opened, where customers can experience and try out the entire collection on site.
VIENNA
2020
After the Corona pandemic began in 2020, all weddings were of course canceled this summer and thus Jeannette-Renée Mang had time to devote more time to the online shop.
After inquiries about a stationary store came up again, a store location was found in Vienna's 1st district in the summer and in October 2020 Bellas celebrated the opening of its first store in Vienna.
After several successful years as a purely online store, we have decided to offer our customers a unique shopping experience in-person. Our Vienna store is located in the heart of the city.
MUNICH
2021
After a very successful start with our brick-and-mortar store in Vienna and despite the ongoing challenges for retail due to the regular lockdowns caused by the Corona pandemic, we decided to expand further and started looking for a suitable location in Germany.
This was found in June 2021 in the center of Munich, in the immediate vicinity of Marienplatz and Sendlinger Strasse, and completely renovated.
Since July 2021, Bellas has been delighted to finally open its first German store.
After almost 3 years as a pure online shop, the Bellas store has been in Vienna since October 2020 and now also the first branch in Germany.
SALZBURG
2022
On the day of our one-year anniversary in Munich, we happened to find an advertisement for a small business premises in the city center of Salzburg in the evening.
On our way home from Munich to Vienna, we took a quick look around and opened the third Bellas store just 9 days after the visit, during the Salzburg Festival.
Now you can also find a large selection of our ballerinas, tassel loafers, loafers, moccasins and sneakers for men and women in the Getreidegasse, in the immediate vicinity of traditional companies such as the goldener Hirsch, the blaue Gans and Trachten Stassny.
Just three months later, we opened our second store in Vienna, also on Sonnenfelsgasse. From then on, we had a women's and a men's store.
VIENNA REOPENING
2023
However, after expanding our shop capacity in fall 2022, it quickly became apparent that these spaces were too small, and our separately rented warehouse was already reaching its limits. Therefore, the search for a large, central location in the center of Vienna began.
2023 was an exciting year for Bellas as we found, renovated, and opened our new store at Dorotheergasse 5.
With significantly more space, additional storage space, and a larger showroom, we can now present an even more extensive selection of our elegant shoes and accessories, and from now on we have everything under one roof, right next to St. Stephen's Cathedral, Vienna's famous Graben, Kärntnerstrasse, and Kohlmarkt.
SUMMER POP-UP
2024
In the summer of 2024 we were offered the opportunity to open a Bellas pop-up store in the center of Maria Wörth on the beautiful Wörthersee.
Of course, we are delighted to be represented in Carinthia with a small, fine collection during the summer months from June to August.

TRADITION AND INNOVATION
Our shoes are inspired by traditional styles like the tassel loafer, originally developed by Alden in 1950 as a men's shoe. But at Bellas, we've reinterpreted this classic for women, giving it a modern, feminine twist.
