Furlanes

Our Furlanes collection is the perfect mix of elegant and particularly comfortable shoes with a non-slip rubber sole. The original Friulane shoes come, as the name suggests, from Friuli and were created at the end of the Second World War. Local women made elegant and comfortable shoes from scraps of fabric such as brocade or velvet and old bicycle tires, especially for noble families. These were then worn on special occasions. Later, the Friulanes were particularly popular among the gondoliers in Venice because they are non-slip and comfortable and their style matches their ornately decorated gondolas perfectly.
